  • MSA is seeking applicants for a MATHEMATICS TEACHER - MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL

This position requires the successful candidate to teach middle and high school Mathematics.  The candidate will also be required to teach and prepare students for the Mathematics achievement examinations (Grades 6 and 9) and Math 30 level diploma courses and the diploma examinations.  The curriculum is part of the Alberta Education Programs of Study for Mathematics. 

APPLICANTS REQUIRE: 

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the subject being advertised and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
    • A minimum of three years teaching experience with demonstrated success.
    • Experience in the delivery of instruction in a differentiated classroom.
    • Be registered or qualified to be registered with the Bermuda Educators’ Council.
    • Have proven ability in the use of Information Technology in the delivery of the curriculum.
    • Be self-motivated, possess high energy and self-confidence.
    • Be willing to coach or moderate an extracurricular activity at the direction of the Principal.
    • Be required to perform homeroom duties with record-keeping responsibilities, supervisory duties, and substitutions as required by the Principal.
    • Commitment to Catholic Education is essential.
    • Experience with the Alberta Programs of Study would be an asset.

Candidate must be a practicing Catholic who will be required to teach grade level religious instruction.

    • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Effective classroom management and knowledge of best teaching practices, including differentiation.
