MSA is pleased to offer the Alberta, Canada provincial curriculum at all grade levels.   Alberta’s education system is recognized internationally as one of the best learning systems in the world.   MSA must meet rigorous requirements in order to offer this world class curriculum. Schools that are granted permission to use the curriculum must provide a common program for Kindergarten to Grade 12 that is linked to specific learner outcomes for each subject area.

Alberta is committed to providing a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, has an emphasis on English language arts as a foundation for all learning, employs  fair and consistent assessment practices, integrates technology  and uses certificated  teacher in the development of curriculum at all levels in order to ensures that it remains  current and focused on what students need to know.

Several countries around the world, including China, Hong Kong, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar are using the Alberta curriculum.

Programs of Study

Alberta's kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum is outlined in documents called Programs of Study. There is also a Kindergarten Program Statement. Each document outlines why the program is offered, what students are expected to learn and the basic principles about how students are to achieve the required knowledge, skills and attitudes.
