Home & School Association
The Home & School Association is a member based group designed to facilitate collaboration between the ‘home’ and the ‘school’ families for the betterment of the young people who attend MSA. This is achieved through various social and fundraising events.
The Association is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who devote their time to strategize and implement the activities. Becoming involved is a great way to get to know the School even better, meet other families, get to know MSA’s Faculty & Staff and contribute to the well-being of our students.

Gainelle Simons – Vice President
Hello fellow MSA parents, teachers, and staff!
My name is Gainelle Simons, and I am the newly elected Vice President for Home & School. I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about my background for those who may be curious. I am a proud mother of two girls—my youngest, Jade, started at MSA in Grade 6 and is now in Grade 9 (oh, how time flies!).
I am a former Berkeleyite (Class of 2000) and have served on various PTAs and boards throughout both of my daughters’ school years. As a seasoned PTA parent, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, along with many valuable resources. Known for my creative ideas, event planning skills, and love for decorating, I am excited to contribute my talents in collaboration with the team.

Tiffany Nelmes – Treasurer
Hello MSA Family!
My name is Tiffany Nelmes, and I am the Treasurer of the Home & School Association. I attended MSA from Kindergarten through grade 12 and graduated as part of the Class of 2004. I have two sons who currently attend MSA as well. With over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, I also serve on the boards of several local charities. I am excited to be a part of this wonderful committee and look forward to what the upcoming school year will bring!

Wanda Robinson – Secretary
Greetings, MSA family.
My name is Wanda Robinson, and I am the newly elected secretary for the Home & School Association.
My daughter is currently enrolled in middle school at MSA.
I am a Health Education and Promotion Specialist and former high school, science educator, who believes in the power of collaboration. I utilize my skills in this area to plan educational and enjoyable programs and events.

MSA is thankful for the many programs/initiatives/items that have been funded by donations from the Home & School Association, including:
• Kindergarten School Hats
• Smart Boards
• New playground equipment
• Sports equipment & uniforms
• Teacher appreciation breakfasts
Over the years, donations stemming from funds raised by the Annual Bazaar include:
• Installation of fire doors to bring the whole system up to code
• Replace all ceiling fans in the school
• Installation of air conditioning units in classrooms
• Purchase 2 heart defibrillator machines
• Purchase of laptop carts
• Various projects around the School property
