MSA is seeking candidates for the following teaching position commencing the 2026-27 school year:
Elementary Teacher
This position requires the successful candidate to provide instruction in the grade level core subjects and manage the day-to-day operations of an elementary classroom. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic who will be required to teach grade level religious instruction. The elementary curriculum is part of the Alberta Education Programs of Study.
Requirements
· Minimum of a Bachelor of Education.
· Have three years teaching experience, but consideration will be given to newer teachers who are highly motivated.
· Meet the teacher certification requirements to teach at an Alberta Accredited International School (for more information see www.education.alberta.ca) and meet the requirements for licensing with the Bermuda Educators Council.
· Have proven effective classroom management and knowledge of best teaching practices, including differentiation.
· Have a commitment to being part of a supportive and faith-filled Catholic school community.
· Have proven abilities in the use of technology in the delivery of instruction.
· Be willing to moderate or coach an extra-curricular or after-school activity.
· Possess proven organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Experience with the Alberta Programs of Study would be an asset.

MSA After School Program Assistant (Part-time)
The After School Program at MSA offers a safe, engaging environment for students from ELP through Grade 5, operating weekdays from 2:30pm–5:30pm during the school year. In addition to the regular hours, staff will be expected to work school-break camps throughout the school calendar year: mid-term and school breaks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Assisting with supervision of homework, structured activities, and free play.
· Ensuring the safety and well-being of students during after-school hours.
· Supporting students academically during homework time.
· Managing student behavior fairly and consistently.
· Communicating effectively with the Program Coordinator and school staff to maintain positive relationships.
· Being available for additional hours during emergencies.
· Participating in required staff training.
· Maintaining up-to-date certifications in First Aid, CPR, SunSmart, and SCARS.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or associate degree in education, child development, early childhood education, or a related field (preferred).
· Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting (preferred).
· Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, staff, and the school community.
· Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
· Must serve as a positive role model and represent the After School Program professionally to families and the wider school community.
· Strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities
· Must possess sensitivity to confidential information and hold a high standard of integrity.
· Commitment to representing the school’s Catholic mission with professionalism and hospitality.
· Maintain up-to-date certifications in First Aid, CPR, SunSmart, and SCARS.
